    Overheating

So im about to buy this 1990 325I and its having an overheating issue. The guy has put in a new thermostat, hoses, and radiator. Its still overheating. Is there anyway to check to see if the water pump is bad or if its something else? It currtently sits in his back yard covered... So any inputs thoughs concerns? It doesnt smoke. and only leaks power steering fluid. Please help asap!!!!

If the thermostat and radiator and known to be good and it has been bled correctly that only leaves you with the water pump or the headgasket being the issues. Nobody can 100% diagnose the car over the internet.

You could check for play in the water pump but I doubt that's actually the issue.

                How much is it?

If it is cheap enough why not buy and replace everything anyways...

Was there such a thing? Or did they slap an Ebay "dinan" badge on it?

Well thats what i thought. I think its a stupid badge. But it has a dinan exhaust, strut bar, chip, and wing... It looks strange but good. So im picking it up and hopefully its something stupid easy.

I saw that car on CL, looks pretty good. Thought about picking it up and fixing it so my wife can drive it. Post some pics of the car and the outcome of the overheating...hope its an easy one...
