    M20 2.7 cutting out at 3k.

Putting this up here as STONERSAM23 won't do it.

From what he's saying, the fresh 2.7 "stroker" is cutting out at 3k. He thinks it's leaning out. I have no idea under what circumstances.

He put M50 injectors in with the stock ECU.

I guess he did a smoke test, found that the AFM was deformed on the throttle side, so put another one on it.

    Still does this shit.

Brand new OEM fuel pump assembly. He tried a 255 but I guess it didn't work out?

Umm....swapped the fuel pressure regulator with the one from off the donor car.

This is coming from not having see the car in person. I have no idea and kept telling him to make a thread, but noooooo......

    Any ideas?

    Thanks guise!

Put back the OEM injectors to see if the problem goes away. I have seen too many posts with similar problem...M50 injectors + stock ECU = problem.

Put in the OEM injectors didn't fix the problem. Its leaning out. It has very low fuel pressure and does not stay pressurized. I'm going to search for a kink in the fuel line somewhere.

It has a questionable 3bar on it now. looking to replace that next. The one slammin found for me was a 2.5 from the seta.

Its amazing that it even runs with so little fuel pressure. Might figure out how to make a gauge on the cheap but that will only tell me what I already know. What I need to know is what could cause this?

looks like the fuel filter twisted up a little. found a kink. went ahead and replaced the fuel filter and line. Fuel pressures up. Now idle is down to about 550. Seems to get better as it runs. Knew it would be something stupid but thanks for posting anyway slammin.

i think the superE fpr is different from the 2.5i fpr.
I wanna say the seta is like 2.8bar and the i is 3.0. someone can correct me though. Is this seta based or what? I have a seta and all the stuff for a "i" coversion w m50 injectors. just no time to swap it all in... let me know how you like it. thanks
                Now with 2.7i power!!!

Ok so the problem persists. cuts out at 3k. Fuel pressure is fine. I got a gauge and its 42psi at the fuel rail when I pull off the vacuum line. I have no idea whats causing this?
