    Car taking longer than usual to start.

    I find that it takes a bit longer to get the engine fired up. Car is 92 vert with only 60k. My 88 325is with 200k started immediately every time.

    Normally the engine should go "er-vroom (on)"
    Now it sorta goes "er er er er er er - vroom (on)"

    Got new spark plugs. Still does it.
    Battery is new.
    Fuel filter is few month old.

    how old is the fuel pump? i just replaced mine, it was doing the very same thing...

      Try a new CTS. We just did this on Brawndos e28 and it cured it. Used to crank over 20 times. Now maybe 4 or 5 and it idles better also

          I just bought my E30, its been very well maintained all its life but does take about two-three turns to finally get over, which coming from a 02' WRX seems like alot. Is this normal for an E30 or should I try and shoot for starting up immediately?

              Recently my rpm jumping between 500 to 1000. Do you think that is related for CTS?

              Should I stick with stock CTS or buy from any auto parts store?

                  Disconnect the vacuum hose to the intake to see if there is any fuel. If fuel present then the diaphragm is ripped. You can also suck on the tube and if you can pull air easily then I would replace the FPR.
