    Engine mount alignment pin

Just changed my engine mounts. Passenger side went well. the drivers side, I am having a hard time getting the alignment pin to go through the subframe.

I am able to get it through the top and bottom holes and through this:

Yet the alignment pin doesn't go through the subframe.

try loosening the top mount bolt. jack the motor up then align the pin and tighten down the bottom. lower the motor onto the mount and tighten the upper bolt

Thats literally what I just did, and it worked out great. Undid both top and bottom bolt, then aligned the bottom and tightened down the bottom, then let the top come back down. The key was to tighten the bottom bolt first without the mount being preloaded.
