That's really good considering he is including everything for the swap + the timing belt job and "while you're in there" stuff.

Yea i was going to do it myself. But i took it down to him so can look at for me and check everything out make sure its worth even keeping. Yea i think ima do cause i dont think im saying much doing it myself. And doing it myself gunna take months with myschedule hell do it a couple days.

It's kind of subjective since the price of 5 speed swap stuff varies.

Timing belt kit from FCP Groton which includes a waterpump, camshaft seal, thermostat, VC gasket, WP, gasket, tensioner is $132 before shipping.

Motor mounts are like $50
Trans around $30
Head gasket kit $90

So that's around $320 for maintenance stuff.
5spd swap stuff, in a bundle, is IDK $500?

If it's your first time doing this type of stuff, just ask yourself what's the cost of a headache to you? :p

Yea i seen the trans on craigslist for about 500 but im just worried that the trans are damaged already.

ive seen 5speed swaps installed for 500

anyways GL, shop around.
