    Heater Core hoses...

With the colder weather coming, I've decided to finally put heat in the car. I had heat with the M20B27, but the M20B25 I bought had the heater core lines bypassed.

So now I've got two hoses coming off the firewall leading to nowhere (pictured below). I looked at the realoem diagrams and bought two hoses that seemed to fix my problem, but they seem to be the same hoses I've already got on the car.

I'm assuming there is supposed to be a valve or something coming off the two heater core hoses. I remember seeing one on the ETA before it was pulled but I haven't been able to find it since.

I've attached three pics, one of the two hoses coming off the firewall, and two of the hoses I bought.

    Thanks

Went back onto realoem, found this diagram but several part numbers are missing in the description.

I think I have hoses 1 and 2, but I'm missing the valve (#4) and the hoses connecting.

Can someone take some pics of their line set ups and send them?

The original design for the heater hoses has them going directly from the head and thermostat housing to the heater core nipples that stick through the firewall.A recall later added a temperature/pressure relief valve in the engine bay.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Forgive my ignorance, but where is the coolant exit on the head?

I would check the car but it is 100km away and I'm trying to order the hoses before I go back to put the heat in.

The feed from the engine to the heater core if from the rear of the head.
