    new radiator

So my temperature had been creeping to 205 degrees Fahrenheit when stopped and i was never able to find out what it was. Well now i found a hole under my radiator, which im sure is the cause of the temperature creeping.

You think an ebay radiator would do the job? I'm pretty low on money but don't want a used radiator.

I'd rather have a used unit than ebay crap, personally. New ones are "only" like 150-160 depending on where you get it.

Do you have a coolant leak? The hole doesn't really matter if you don't. If you're overheating when stopped, a more likely culprit is the fan clutch.

Yeah there was a good amount of coolant under my car. Technically if i top off the coolant daily it shouldn't matter correct, or is there a loss in pressure?

I did the newspaper test on the fan and it passed.

A new CX Racing all aluminum rad is only $165. Mitshimoto rad is more expensive, but has more happy users. Replace your rad asap.

It is the radiator right? I want to be sure it's the radiator and not the fan clutch.

I also want to know if it loses pressure as it leaks?

If your car is pouring coolant out of a hole in the radiator... you need a radiator!

Just go to BMA, they have the Nissens radiator for $140.

Of course, you are going to lose pressure. What do you think would happen if a balloon has a pin hole? Your coolant system is a closed system and any hole would vent the pressure.

Thanks guys. Going to change radiator this week or the following.

Btw Mr.325 do you have a friend who lives on barton? My friend has an evo8 and he sent a picture to me of a black e30 parked next to his house, looked like your car. I remember his neighbor having a bronzit e30. I gave him a thumbs up last time i saw him by his e30.
