My cars running like crap. I first noticed it after a night of drunken abuse without warming the car up. I was driftng and hit a curb pretty hard. The morning after i drove it and it had lost power in all gears. And the exhause sounded like a subie STI! Now its making a very loud knocking/ ticker while sitting and ideling. Also i changed the oil and two days before it broke, i cracked the oil filler cap. Slight crack idk if that matters.

When you hit the curb hard you can create all kind of vacuum leaks in your engine, plus the crack in your filler cap. I would replace the cap and perform a smoke test to find your leaks before doing anything else.

Could be lifters I suppose. Don't drive drunk FFS.

Everyone on R3v always replies to these threads ' its the lifters'. So I'm gonna reply with what my issue was..

@tanktheroy. The crank pully is how hard to fix and does these symptoms sound like this issue?

@duguyen, thanks ill have my mecanic try and do a smoke test. All my hoses are pretty old so i may have a vaccume leak but would it be making a knocking noise coming from the top of the engine?
