    Engine starts then dies(video inside)

Car is getting spark and fuel, starts right up then dies immediately. The car will keep running if I turn the key to start and keep the starter running. I'm thinking a sensor maybe CPS but wouldn't that not even allow the car to fire?

Mine had a similar problem. It was the throttle position switch.

This sounds like a promising lead the car will die instantly if I touche the pedal and a couple.days before the idle was funny.

Would a dodgy throttle position switch also cause a bit of a throttle lag and bog when first pulling out? Such as between 800 and 1200 RPM?

Yes, the bentley shows how to check it with a multimeter.

Not likely. But intake leaks or a sticking AFM will do that.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
