    M20 stalling out

Car is an '87 ETA. Performed a valve adjustment earlier this afternoon. Car normally takes a long time to start when cold. When it did start, it wouldn't stay running on it's own. Finally, it smoothed out and idled normally for about 30 seconds. Then it would try to stumble and fall on it's face. Now, when you start it, it will be ok for the first couple seconds, then start running like shit.

When doing the valve adjustment, I only unhooked the breather hose on the valve cover, the wires for the CSV and the ICV and the coil wire. All were reconnected before starting car. Never really had an issue with running before.

Sort of at a loss here...any help is much appreciated!

did you replace the valve cover gasket its rare but bad valve cover gaskets can cause a vacuum leak

My suspicion is that the work has introduced an intake leak.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
