2.5 M20 Starter, is it wired correctly?

1989 325i, after replacing the cylinder head the engine turns but wont star.

I checked everything and looks like the only wire that I can't remember if it is a ground wire that connect to the wire harness bracket for ground or if it actually connect to the starter, is the top small black wire that I have connected to the starter.

If the engine cranks, you have the starter correctly connected.

Check to see if you have crossed the Cylinder ID and CPS connectors and see if you crossed the fuel supply and return hoses. Either of those will prevent the engine from firing.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

The fuel lines are connected correctly, I did check the cylinder id and cps connectors and looks like they were correct also but I will check them again.

Thank you very much for your help.
