    quick head bolt ?

I tighted down the head bolts yesterday and never ran the engine but I would like to Redo the bolt torques so I know its right can I un screw the bolts and just redo it without replacing anything

If you overtorqued them you have to look at the threads and check their condition. If the threads are facing down, not level or facing slightly upwards, or the bolt is stretched, there likley junk and you'll have to replace them.

Why do you want to pull them out?

I'm kind of a lurker but i thought i'd chime in. I don't even own a BMW so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I'm pretty sure the stock head bolts are stretch bolts. Once they are torqued, you CANNOT reuse them. You can, however, take them out one at a time and replace them with new bolts without having to re-do the head gasket. Use the same pattern as the torque pattern.

      I hope this helps.

just out of curiosity, why do you want to retorque them? do you think you did it wrong or something?

The head bolts are stretch bolts and as such they can only be used once.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I personally went with the method of buying the expensive digital torque wrench that also does angles. Mine is snapon. I have had it about 3 years. Freaking love it. Works perfect when the final turn of the head bolt wants 90 degrees and there isint enough room to make a full 90 degree turn. Not really a problem on our motors but worked great for a grand cherokee i did a headgasket on.
