    Festive for the holidays!



    Marvin, my 88 325is, wanted to be festive, so my CEL turned on.... The stomp test didn't work, and my theory is that the little button behind the gas pedal for WOT would get stuck and not release....

    any other ideas?? The car runs today just as it did yesterday without the CEL...

    The "stomp test"only works on a car with a 173 or later DME, which an 88 325is should have. But even then it will only work if both the idle and WOT switches in the TPS are good.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
