    Charcoal canister tube disconnect..?

so I am trying to remove an engine and The next step in bentley calls for disconnecting the tube(s) on top of the charcoal canister and the picture shows the front tube without the clamp being removed...
When I tried to pull the tube loose it seems like it won't come off... Probably been there for almost a quarter of a century...
Any suggestions on getting it disconnected?
Is this canister supposed to be a lifetime part?
    Thanks!

Cut it and replace with a new tube. The current one is harden and you would introduce a vacuum leak if you re-use it.
