    long block tips

OK so I plan on rebuilding my long block. New rings bearings resurface rebore ext.

Just wondering if there is anything I should look out for? Like how do I set my rings after they are assembled, and where to order my rings bearings, and are my rod bolts stretch bolts?

    Just some helpful tips

    Thanks

Rod (and head bolts) are torque to yield. Meaning one time use.

Rings much be checked for end gap and are positioned on the piston with the gaps 120deg apart. The cylinders must be checked for wear and if within spec cross hatch honed so that the new rings will seat.

Crank journals must be measured and the correct "color" bearings used to obtain the correct clearance. There is a table in the Bentley.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
