My car uses a lot of fuel warming up.

    All stock everything.
Tonight my windshield was frosted over pretty good, let it run at idle for 20 minutes or so, maybe a little more. Needle dropped almost1/4 tank. I remember this happening a few times last winter in the same circumstances. Anybody else notice this?

Did it ever rebound? Mine would do something similar but would eventually get some back from the return system. Thought i was going crazy for a little bit because my gauge would fluctuate quite a bit on very cold mornings.

Thats a lot of fuel. I would check the sending unit/gauge and coolant temp sensor.

I can't see any engine burning a 1/4 tank (3.6 - 4.1 gallons) of gas in 20 minutes. this is more likely to be a gauge/sensor problem.

The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
