On an 87 eta body, what pin on a 173 dme does the green start wire on c104 go to? Car wont start when its hot.

Whether the START wire from C104 needs to be used depends on the engine harness used.
The ECT is the blue topped sensor and it normally is the lower of the two in the thermostat housing. I don't know that it matters a lot which position it is in.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

I believe the 88 harness has the START signal spliced to the Hot in Run and Start circuit that feeds the ignition coil. So that wire on C104 isn't needed. If that wasn't the case the DME would not run and thus the engine would never start.The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
