How to remove oil cooler?

    What made you decide there's no difference? Because your car still runs? Or did you check temps?

      I don't have an oil temp gauge, so I cannot confirm with temperatures. I'm simply offering my firsthand experience - I have done what is mentioned and had no ill-effects in doing so [in drivability of the car]. That's the extent of my knowledge.

      @dandrewg, true, I didn't see his location. However, belief it or not, Montreal's summers are fairly close to Florida's (coming from someone who is down in Florida at least once a year). We don't get as many 95F days but we do get a few.

        I do have an oil temp gauge and I can tell you that oil temps stay pretty solid at a hair over 200F for normal driving. If you do some spirited driving or even driving at high speed for sustained periods of time (~90+ mph) it will go up to 210-220F no problem. I still have my cooler on and if you drive normally or slow down and cruise at 70-80 mph it'll only be a minute before the oil cools back down to 200F.
