Went from start to no-start in 10 minutes...

I am about to swap out my B27 to a B25 and was getting ready to start pulling and disconnecting things. I went to start the car Saturday and got nothing when I turned the key so I pulled the battery and charged it up. When I re-installed it the next day (yesterday), the car fired up just fine and I found that I had an interior light that was coming on (after a year of not working at all). The car ran for about 2 minutes and I shut it down.

So after pulling out some A/C lines and a few other oddball things in the glove box area, I went to pull the car up on ramps to start disconnecting the driveshaft and exhaust and the car would crank but not start. I tried for about 5 minutes and finally just gave up and used a jack to get the car up on the ramps.

On a somewhat related note, my external fuel pump has been very noisy (I have a 255 walburo to do a single pump conversion to replace it).

My issue is that I am doing the B25 swap this weekend and I don't want a lack of fuel to cause issues in trying to get the B25 running.

Does this sound like a fuel pump issue? If so, should I worry about sorting out this issue BEFORE I pull the B27?

If your pump is very noisy then it could be that the pump is on its last leg or the fuel filter is completely clogged up. I would troubleshoot this problem before doing anything else.

I am still having truble determining the hose(s) that I need to do the pump conversion.

Does anyone know the diameter fo the HP fuel hose that I will need to get from the tank pump to the locaiton of the current high-pressure pump?

High pressure fuel hose is 8 mm ID. You can get 5 m reel from Blunt for about $45. The location of the pump is near the fuel filter, under the rear drive side just below and in front of the fuel tank. Are you doing a two-pump system to one high pressure pump?
