Most shop would probably do the smoke test without telling their customers what was done. People on this forum care about their cars much more than average person.

I am not sufficiently motivated to make calls. Im just surprised the subject has NEVER come up until I joined this forum.

As soon as I found that crack I put an electrical tape bandaid on it and ordered a replacement from my dealer. Next day and $22 later its as good as new.

If you still have that ShooGoo I'll sell you the old one and you can fix it :-)

Short term ghetto repair- Shoo Goo works well. If cleaned with brake cleaner well the Goo will seal it. Last a long time if you stop drill the crack and then fill. If the top has cracks the bottom probably is same condition. Old rubber/old car or Crap motor mounts can be a contributing factor.

Its already been suggested and besides not having a clue where do get one done, I posted that I found a leak and did a temp repair. If the CEL doesnt come back I'll make that fix permanent.

I'm sure you meant OE is what comes from the dealer.

What I got is not OEM which would be Bosch but rather is made by a company called O.E.M. Its like buying a BMW part and finding out that it's made in Germany by Bruno's Mechanical Widgets Gmbh aka BMW.

It just keeps getting more interesting. I thought I had ordered a Bosch CTS since I selected an OEM part. Well it turns out OEM has more than one meaning

It does say "made in Italy" which Im ok with. Clearly not Bosch.
