    272 reground cam worth buying or no?

    so im thinking o buying a ie reground 272 cam , to try and increase the power on my stroker , is it worth it if im going to boost or no

    272 is such a mild cam, not worth it imo

    282-286 is very good

      On a stock M20, I like the 272.

      If you've got a stroker then yes, go bigger by all means. Keep in mind ie has a good 2 dozen cam regrind profiles on file (just not on the website, it would become overly confusing). Also keep in mind the more material you remove from the backside of the cam lobe the more likely you'll need oversize-eccentrics to make up the difference.

        Our 274 camshaft we install in most Myster-e cylinder heads is an excellent street cam. I have it in my turbo E30 as well. Anything bigger is going to idle like crap on a street car and take away low end power.

        If you've got a stroker M20 engine it can absolutely benefit from a performance cam.
