Different between an '85 M20B27 and an '87 M20B27?

    Different between an '85 M20B27 and an '87 M20B27?

    Just wondering what the differences are if any. I'm looking at picking up the '85 M20B27 as a donor/parts motor for my own.

      The engines are the same. Though the 85 will likely have the stamped cam and intermediate shaft sprockets. which you don't want to use.
      The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
