    Car died on me again!

iIdrove it short distances for about a week and it seemed fine.
Then the other day I drove about 15 mins on the freeway and about 10 mins in the city and it died at a red light. I pulled over and got it towed home where its been sitting for about a week now.
Im going crazy trying to figure this out.

    any input appreciated

PS: i think my batteries for the cluster si board are out since the fuel, temp and rpm gauges stopped working. Would this affect the electrical system of the car and be the cause why its dying on me? im guessing the car thinks its overheating or its out of gas so it dies??
    PLEASE HELPPP!

The SI board can affect the tachometer, temperature gauge, and econometer. It won't affect the fuel gauge or cause engine problems.

You need to do some diagnostics to figure out what is going on. Start by having a shop run smoke, and repair as indicated. Tee a pressure gauge into the rail fuel line and zip tie the gauge to a windshield wiper or the cowl vents so you can see what the fuel pressure does in an event. Hooking a test light to the output of the fuel pump relay will tell if a loss of fuel pressure is a problem with the pump or FPR or a problem with relay, CPS, or DME. Hook a DMM to the power lead for the DME (output of the main relay) to see what the system voltage is and if the DME is loosing power. Those tests should help determine where to look next.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
