need more information. "best" is a moving target depending on what you are looking.

    Forged or Cast?
    Cheap or Extravagant?
    Intended use?

MaxSil pistons are good and a bit less expensive than the OE parts.

Hi Jim I tried contacting them is it possible they do not have over sized pistons for the M20 B25 say 86 mm The fellow I spoke with told me they only offer 84.5 which is basically stock. I also like their brand just having problems finding them
        Thanks

OK i finally spoke with someone at MAXSIL and they have what I need

Don't forget to gap the rings when you assemble the engine.

I dont know what your price range is, but I picked up a set of CPs from VAC. A bit expensive, but worth it imo.

85mm would probably be your best bet. From what I can tell by measuring the block 86mm may be pushing it. However I dont have any solid info to back up that last statement.

              For BMW M20B25 engine Bore Size: 84 mm; 84.5 mm; 85 mm. Compression Ratio: 8.5:1; 8.8:1; 10.25:1; 10.5:1; 11.25:1; 12.0:1.

Or buy the Ross pistons from Ireland Engineering and save almost $200.
