87 528e ecu eprom pins?

Just bought an 87 528e with an m20b27
Looking at buying a chip the ecu is a 0 261 200 027
How do I know if its a 28 pin eprom or a 24? I know that 28's are not as common but any tips with out me taking out the ecu?

I think that's the only way, on the plus side I have two ETA cars one has an 021, and the other 027. There both 24 pin.

I looked into it more and the 28 pins are far from common but the 24 pin chip will fit in either one. So I ordered a chip off Turner and just went for it (it was a 24 pin)

Nice, yeah I never heard of a 28 pin till after I spent all that money on a Dinan chip. I was freaked until I tore it all apart.
