Thoughts on balancing the rotating assembly

I am looking to replace the rods and pistons. The pistons and rods come in a matched set by weight. I hat heard thAt it is not necessary to balance a i6. I am not looking to rev this up to 7000 I just want it to last a long time.

Balancing the rotating parts is helpful on any engine as it reduces parasitic losses. A I6 engine has better dynamic characteristics, and less vibration, than most other configurations, but balancing still helps.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

On a I6 there is no balance factor related to the reciprocating mass vs the rotating mass like most other engines.

Any balancing that can be done is between similar parts. Make all the pistons weigh the same, rod little ends, rod big ends, flywheel, etc.
