m20 revs to 4.5k rpms on startup!!

Hey guys,

I am having an issue over here. Long story short, car didn't start, hit the starter, car started. I bought a new starter, bosch.

Today I had to chance to change it out, once I put everything back together. I tried to start the car and bam, the engine is reving up to 5k rpms. I didn't hear any leaks, or did I find any?

Any help would be appreciated, this is my DD and would love to get this fix asap!

Haha your throttle body is cracked open somehow.
Do you have any zip ties around it? A badly placed one caught my TB and did this before.

And of course you can't hear leaks with the motor revving wildly.

No, no zip ties haha.

If its cracked open, ill go out and check the throttle cables to see if anything is pulling on it or causing some sort of problem.

Got it, It was some rubber piece on the cable that came out, took me a while to notice.
