yeah 100 -150 or so for Timing Belt, Tensioner, Water Pump, Thermostat, Seals Kit etc.. cluch is like 160- and up..
i guess i'll just do the Timing Belt, Tensioner, Water Pump, Thermostat, Seals Kit on the "new" motor..

Thanks! How much $$ will this cost me?Once you get the motor/transmission out of the 4-door, spend some time throughly cleaning it. I'd recommend replacing all of the seals & gaskets, timing belt/tensioner & water pump, having the flywheel surfaced, and replacing the clutch. That is much easier to do with the engine/transmission out.Leave a comment:

M20 vert vs M20 4 door 5speed


So I have a couple of questions about this. I have a 1987-88 325i vert and I'm going to do a engine swap, nothing spesial! Just a "new" m20 motor.
I have this opportunity to buy this 4door 325 5speed! "89" But I'm curious if it's a plug and play motor/traini etc..
If there is a difference what? And what do I have to buy or fix or replace?
My vert is an automatic so this is a great opportunity for me to do a 5speed swap to!
