m20 Flywheel Motronic reference tab

Hi

My e30 325i m20b25 manual has a broken reference tab on the flywheel..

I was wondering if theres okey to weld another tab on the flywheel?

have you guys done that ?

Your M20B25 should not have a flywheel with the timing slug. Only ETA engines need that slug on the flywheel. The M20B25 flywheel doesn't have or need the timing reference slug and the flywheel is lighter.

That said, if you don't see a place where the timing slug was, you have the correct flywheel.
