    Bad idle, no vacuum leaks?

My car was idling unusually high yesterday, about 1200 RPM. Then out of the blue sky it was trying to idle under 500 RPM.. I'm almost positive its not a vacuum leak. Any ideas?

The only way you could be positive that this isn't caused by intake leaks would be to have a smoke test test run.

In the mean time, remove the ICV and clean it with carb cleaner until the vane moves freely. The check the operation and adjustment of the idle switch in the TPS with a meter or test light. The idle switch should close when the throttle stop arm is 1mm off the stop screw.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Cleaning the ICV did the trick. It's odd though, I cleaned that not even a month ago and its gotten dirty enough to influence my idle again in such a short amount of time..

I would recomend, that you do a carb cleaner pass on your AFM, maybe your air filter is letting in excessive debris.

That says to me that you haven't yet found/fixed the basic problem. The ICV won't get dirty enough in that time to cause this problem on it's own, but it could get dirty enough to aggravate a more basic problem.

Find a shop that can do a smoke test and get the car tested. Like this coming week. The fix the leaks. Also, if it qualifies, replace the O2 sensor (scheduled replacement interval is 100k).

I figured out my air box is missing a few clamps which left it half open haha. I'm pretty sure this was the initial problem. Thanks guys
