getting head resurfaced anything else

So i am getting my head resurfaced and the guy at the shop said the valves won't sit flat so i was wondering if there was anything smart and not to much more expensive to replace. I was going to get bigger injectors and one day maybe a cam how much would stronger springs be

First of all, what engine and what mileage?

While the head is off for surfacing, at the least the valves should be ground and valve seals replaced. If high mileage, valve guides may need to be replaced and new exhaust valves may be needed.

Assuming this is an M20B25 head, the springs will be fine for a cam if they test within spec.
