I had an eta block honed and o ringed. While I was at the shop.. I had a set of eta Rods/pistons and a set of I pistons/rods. I am just building the eta bottom with I piston and head.
Told the guy to swap the eta pistons off the rods, and then swap the I pistons to the eta Rods.
I just got to installing the engine and the piston at Tdc is above the deck. This isn't normal correct? Can a thicker head gasket fix this? Block/head is not milled.
Did the machine shop put the I pistons somehow on the same rods? As if they pulled all the pistons off and got the rods mixed up.
