    Jump rpm at start

    So when I bought my 86 325e it jumped the rpm to almost 2000 rpm then would go to normal idle now the car stalls if I don't do it manually it stoped doing it on its on what part does this and is not working now? Thanks in advance

      Yeah I did that cause I had a jumping rpm before so I cleaned everything new filter spark plugs full tune up

              Try sea foaming your car.
              My car did the same thing when I first bought it.
              Idle jumped, stumbled then died. Only when it was cold though.

              1 can in the fpr vacuum hose that leads to intake manifold. Shut off the car while hose is sucking up seafoam. So some can remain in intake manifold. Wait an hour or two then try to start car. Beware of a lot of smoke, like A LOT! Don't worry if the car doesn't start first try. Just let it crank and crank. Gas it if engine fails to stay on.
              And maybe 1 can in the gas tank. Run out of gas then oil change. Let me know if it works.

                  Yeah I seafoamed when I bought the car... my buddy said throttle position sensor I notice somettimes it'll do it on its on own byt not much
