Are the valves really 2mm larger after 11/86?! I was ordering some parts from bma, and they list 2 valve sizes. I never saw any #'s reflecting this in the hp/tq ratings between years. I feel like I should find a later head if that is true...

The larger valve sizes are for 'i's and super eta's. All regular etas have the smaller valves -

according to the latest bmw ETK. 11/86 and later eta heads do have i sized valves. I have yet to source a head of that date to confirm it though.Comment

well, I guess if anyone ever finds out, it would be good info to know. for now I accept I have an eta, and 2mm should never even matter.Comment
