new motor mounts not lining up, help!

Hey everyone, just bought some AKG 75D polyurethane motor mounts to replace my old stock ones that tore apart..

I'm having trouble with both the passenger side and the drive side.

On the driver side, I can't get the holes to line up into the ORIGINAL hole the OEM motor mount went through, the bolt for the AKG motor mount only seems to fit into the side hole, not the center hole on the bottom.

For the passenger side, it seems as if the bolt isn't long enough, but I'm sure it is and that I'm just doing something wrong...sunlight is running out!

Oh and I've been jacking up the engine using a jack with some wood on the oil pan..

What am I doing wrong here?

    Oh and I have a 325es 1987

    Thanks!

I don't know how you are trying to do this, but the right way is to bolt the mounts to the subframe (don't forget the pieces that go under the mounts). Then lower the engine onto one mount (I prefer to start with the left side mount) and lever the engine over while lowering it to get it to sit on the other mount.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yeah... When I swapped in poly mounts I raised one side, leaving the other side bolted in place. I removed the bracket from the block (good opportunity to clean it well), then loosely assembled the mount to the bracket, loosely bolted it to the subframe, then bolted it to the block, lowered the engine and torqued everything done. I'll admit I used a cross support to raise and lower things in a controlled manner, which made the job pretty easy. I could imagine it being sketchy with a jack from underneath.
