    favorite poly motor mounts?

So I've been running the IE mounts for a few years. I like them.

I went to investigate some metallic loose/banging noises coming out of passenger front going over bumps and noticed one of my motor mounts is shredded. Time to buy new ones.

While I liked the IE's, this is an opportunity to try AKG, Condor, etc. I don't want to go solid.. this is a vert and the chassis has some flex to it. The poly's transmitted a decent amount of vibrations but not too much, I think it's fun. There's turbos and autocross action involved here so I'm not going to fault the IE's, they lasted a few years. But if something has a design difference such as a metal bolt that goes all the way through it may last better.

    Suggestions?

They look cool, but dang $250 is a lot. And there isn't much detail there about how it's built. How do I know it's not just a fancy housing for something that can still come apart?

      IE Urethane are $90.
      Condor UHMW is $45.
AKG 75D $55 (says straight bolt thru)

      I'm leaning towards the AKG.
I need an X-brace and new tires, don't want to blow my load on motor mounts. Because of my budget the $250 is gonna be a hard sell..

I have the condor ones. I've had them for only 50 miles or so and one track day. They felt and looked solid and quality. Not much else past that to say :)

          Condor.

Yes you'll get some vibration (mainly coming off the clutch) but it's worth it. Feels great and you easily get used to it.

[Ignore]I'm not sure, but wouldn't that defeat the point of a bushing? Once the bolt goes all the way though you almost have a solid bushing, and you have metal from mount to frame.[/ignore]

Edit2: On reflection, I'm being an idiot. The bolts certainly go all the way through the Condor ones I have. Nice tight fit too.

                  Absolutely nothing.

The only potential issue is what a failed bushing looks like. On a street driven, a bushing can fail almost without consequence. If you track your car however, you experience a LOT of deceleration that wants to move your engine into your radiator. Not only is this harder on a rubber mount, but the way they are designed, under really hard deceleration the engine can actually move away from the bushing. With most solid mounts there is a bolt that goes all the way through that would prevent that from happening.

And yes, I know we all like to think that we drive hard on the street. But when you threshold break from 120mph down to 30mph a couple dozen times in a day, you are certainly giving those motor mounts a larger work out. If you are inducing that much deceleration over that long a period of time on the street, you probably have bigger issues on your mind than a engine mount that moves a little too much :)

The ie mounts have gone through some redesigns in the last couple months. I'm finally happy with them. Given your mount issue, pm me and I'll see what I can do.

AKG for everything. Had them multiple times, and nothing but great stuff to say about them! IE has redesigned their product, I have seem them in person and they are amazing, just haven't had a chance to try any of their modern poly.

Honestly I have AKGs and while they are beautifully made, they freaking suck to daily they vibrate the entire car so much, people that ride with me think something is broken, but the motor doesn't move at all

Turbo, autocross. And I just prefer to feel the motor vibration, it's fun. :)
Like all the other bushings I've replaced, I want to stiffen everything up.
