rocker Shaft install question

    rocker Shaft install question

    when inslating the rocker shaft do the big holes point downwards twords the head

    and are the shafts specific to their respective sides

    The shafts aren't side specific. The correct orientation is when the locking tab notches are in the correct position at the front of the head.
    The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

      The tabs all line up but the can line up with the large holes pointing up or it can work with them pointing down

      which is correct

      i assume the point down twords the head

        There should only be one way they can be installed. With the slots that the rocker shaft retaining plate fits into facing in towards each other.

              it looks like the rocker shafts are in at slightly different angles now that i have all the clips on
              but the retaining clip that goes in at the front of the engine fit, just had to force it a little.

              is that 1 degree of difference going to be a problem

              hope fully not
              look at the picture attached, i think im just being critical because its ma first rebuild
