Oil Leak...

Hey guuys so i just did an engine overhaul on the m20 replaced all seals n gaskets... well first time around i was dripping oil from trans/engine location... so i assumed bad rear seal or rear seal plate gasket since in the plate i put gasket maker( it was metal and i assumed i needed it)... so i took it apart, replaced rear and seal carrier gasket only to realize it was leaking from the valve cover... ( i had a huge vaccum leak from VC gasket and also an oil leak.. as i later found out)....
Well i put a new VC gasket on also.... put it all together and thought i was done... Well no im not.. still has ENGINE oil in between engine and trans... Did i miss something?? I dont understand. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Rear half-moon plugs for the VC gasket?

Where are those located?? And would that be a dealer only item? i got a valve cover gasket from autozone but it only came VC? With out the half moon plugs...
