    Power Steering issues

    Hey everyone, I'm stumped.

Today I finished doing my timing belt. Everything went fairly well. Afterwards I started her up and she drives fine. Except! My power steering is noisy. It makes the noise that they do when they're low on fluid. It was low when I started the job and making the noise, just decided to wait until I was all done to bother with it. Anyways I filled it up and it still! makes the noise. I've never had this issue before. It does have a slow leak (like takes weeks).
    It steers just fine too

    I've checked the belts= tight
    Fluid is good.

I don't know what else to do... never had any issues with power steering on any cars. Could it be by chance that the pump just decided to start going out?

    Thanks everyone

Try bleeding it first. with the engine running, turn the steering wheel lock to lock,(all the way left to all the way right)this will help bleed out any air that maybe stuck in the system. you may need to do this a few times if you have a lot of air.

If your car still has the original crimp style clamps on the hoses, remove them and put on regular hose clamps. Power steering is under a lot of pressure and when your system cannot keep the pressure then your pump is working overtime. BTW, jack the front of the car up when you turn the wheel lock to lock. It makes bleeding the system easier.
