what's this noise?

that's not my video but my car is making a similar noise. mine seems more intermittent. seems like something solid is rattling around inside the top end which is unlikely. car runs good. power is fine. doesn't burn too much oil. idle is good. gas mileage is good.
it's not the typical valve/injector tick as you can hear in the video.
the noise is more present at idle and and doesn't get louder or increase with rpms.

Have you taken the valve cover off the check the rockers? That would be my first step

Does it go away if you put the clutch in? Some cars can have pretty rattly clutch throw out bearings.

rockers seemed fine when i had the cover off. none were broken.
not sure about the clutch. it's hard to hear inside the car. i'll get a helper and check this. thanks.
