Intermittent stumble/stall around 2-3K, Check Engine Light, throws 1264 code

Just started doing this a couple days ago.. intermittent stall from a stop in 1st, almost always recovers, CEL flashes. Also intermittently would happen in other gears here and there. At idle if I blip the throttle it almost always recreates the symptom. Only throws that 1264 stomp code, it has a new stock 02 sensor, I swapped out AFM, Fuel Pump, adjusted/tested throttle switch, no huge vacuum leaks.. searching around on here and I see a few similar issues but no clear answer. Thanks if anyone has any input.

      Not solved

Ugh.. drove about an hour to work - no check engine light, no stumble issue. Left work on an errand, stumble is back, CEL again.. 1264 code again. since I had found the relay closest to the firewall of the three main relays totally loose last night, I kept with that logic, gently bent the prongs on the relays so they would grab the socket better and then zip tied them to their sockets. This did and didnt seem to help. initially there was the stumble around 2-3k in 1st CEL came on, stayed on the whole drive maybe one of two little cough stalls. Made one stop then drove another hour on the highway, CEL came on right after startup stayed on but no stumble issue although I was kinda babying the throttle to avoid possible stall in traffic. Obviously, I will look further into the condition of all those connectors at the relay to rule that out. Something about the issue makes me wonder if heat is a factor since this AM is was pretty cool and I had zero problems then after being parked in the sun all day it came back. I also suspect impact/vibration, since that one relay had popped out. Had driven around Providence all day and the roads are garbage.. plus sport suspension/UHMW mounts so if something is loose, that first pull in first would definitely create some motion.

Crank sensor wire could be rubbing on a pulley. Check it with a flashlight...
        I'm assuming it's a late model m20. What year/engine?

Had some time to investigate this more and somewhat baffled where to go next. Symptoms as of now - start the car, usually no CEL. Blip the throttle or take off in first the CEL comes on and stays on. Slight stumble in first, intermittent like half second near stall/stumble maybe 2-3 times at any speed in any gear. 1264 code. Checked for voltage at the 02 sensor with the ignition on per the bentley and did not get any voltage. tried different relays in the socket no avail. In my searching I have seen reference to 'the wire from the dme' and maybe I'm dense but I am not sure how to find/test that wire. This has got me driving like I'm gonna stall in traffic NO FUN

That fault code is for the O2 sensor heater. In this case it could mean a bad relay, a problem in the wiring harness, or a problem with the DME since the DME can only sense the current flow through the relay coil. The malfunction of the heater is not what is causing the drivability problems if those issues occur on a cold engine as O2 sensor data isn't used until the engine is hot enough for closed loop operation (~140F I think).

These cars don't have an air pump.

The first thing I'd do would be to smoke test the engine and fix any intake leaks as the behavior coming off idle is suggestive of intake leaks.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
