Hesitation in first gear. I need help please

My car runs really well except when accelerating from a complete stop. As I let go of the clutch and put in gas, the car hesitates a LOT and the rpm is twitching. after 1st gear, everything is smooth and car runs well.

I don't know if it has to do with this but I seafoamed the car today and there was smoke coming out of the exhaust manifold area. could this be because I have a gasket leak in that area? Is this what is causing my car to hesitate in 1st gear?

Most importantly, will I pass smog with leak at the exhaust manifold? Thanks

Smoke from the exhaust means a leak, but that isn't the cause of the hesitation. My first suspicion would be intakes. Have a smoke test run.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

upon further research, it seems that it could be the ICV that needs to be cleaned/replaced? or could be vacuum leak in many areas. any thoughts?
