    I need someone's intelligence :)

    Hello to all

I'm currently building an e30 2.7 triple weber and having trouble clearing the brake booster. Can someone help here, I've searched all of google and can't seem to find the correct path.

    Thanks

I once had an MGC-GT that had 2 remote boosters, this was OEM. The master cylinder was mounted to the firewall where the booster would normally be. Brake lines ran from the master to the boosters then to the brakes. Maybe you could cobble something like that together.

Had one on my 5.0 E30, had no problems using it as a DD.

Still won't work, i'm thinking of shifting the booster forward and running a rod, has anyone done that?

yeah, people run remote boosters for almost all m60 swaps into e30s. I think they typically use the e34 v8 booster, bracket and linkage?

I thought the V8 E34 had the hydraulic setup?

YES i did exactly that. This is by far the easiest way, i did this to clear webers before i then moved to the turbo toyota engine

make up a plate that bolts to the fire wall and another that bolts to the booster then use 2 thin rods to hold them together so when you push on the pedal it doesnt push the booster further away then all you need is a little bracket to the inner guard just to support it.

the rod in the middle is a piece of tubing with a bolt welded on one end and a nut on the other that just screws into the original fittings

you need to make up some little extensions for the brake lines, but the result is totally free space perfect brake balance, and no compromise on the oem operation

ps you will LOVE the webers!!!!!! they go REALLY well and sound wonderful but only use 40's if you use 45's it will kill everything and it will be flat and boggy..... trust me!

Ls1 swap guys use remote mount mustang hydro boost setups. Also the m60 cars remote mount setup works well to. How much clearance do you need? My buddie is about to try to use a cutlass ciera booster as its super small to clear his ls1 swap
