quick fuel line question...

i am trying to figure out what the circular silver things (their are 2 of em) that are in my fuel lines i tried checking realoem they show the pictures of em but no names, i am just wondering if they can be deleted or not.

It's a pulse dampener or something of the sort. Yes they can be deleted.

It's a 'check valve' for fuel pressure, can be deleted if upgrading fuel system, otherwise...why?

My car was not starting and i pulled a hose on the return side of one of them and no fuel came out first crank with thumb on the hose, second try with thumb off the hose (return line) gas came shooting out of the dampener thingy abd car fired right up which is why im thinking ill just delete it
