Valve Relief in Piston

I'm assembling my e motor for a rebuild and I just want to make double sure that the valve relief in the pistons are for the exhaust valve. That's what I'm thinking from the tear down but I just wanted to make sure.

Pic i found on the internet. Looks like intake reliefs which would make sense since the intake valves are much larger than the exhausts.

The pistons will have an arrow or a mark that points to the front of the engine.
