    throttle issues

guys, I am having what I believe is a cable or linkage problem. getting under the dash today. seems like something is wrong under the dash with the linkage, I can't get full peddle operation. when I step on the gas, the peddle seems to not go down all the way. linkage on the tb looks fine and operates as normal when worked by hand. does anyone have a pic or diagram of the throttle linkage under the kick panel?

ok, I pulled off the kick panel. looks like there is a bar attached to the peddle that swivels when the peddle is depressed and in turn operating the throttle cable. the bar fits into 2 female grommets (one on each side). the one on the right side looks loose and the bar slipped out. how is this grommet secured to the fire wall under the carpet? bolts? welded? if it is starting to let loose due to stress, can it be repaired?
    # 7 in this diagram but what and how is it attached?

There should be a bracket welded to the firewall at both ends of #5 where #7 slips on.
