    Temp Issues

My temp is going over the 1/2 mark again, and I checked fuse #3 (91deg C at 30amps. The other one is fuse #18 for higher temp). I noticed that fuse #3 was intact but the terminals were melted. I'm wondering why this happens, and I'm almost sure that this is the culprit as the fan is running well and doesn't go over the highest temp where the fan is on. A/C is always on.

How to repair and pick the terminals to ensure that its clean, intact, without cracks and well connected w/o short circuits?

    Thanks!

My first suspect would be the two speed fan switch on the radiator. Check that it replace it and report back.

I suppose that this is the one on the top passenger side of the radiator? I will check it tomorrow. Thanks.

This morning, it went above 1/2 again so by lunch time when the car cooled down, I opened the fuse box again and straightened the pins of fuse #3. As mentioned, I found it weird that it had melted terminals so maybe it was getting loose and causing the intermittent flow of electricity to the aux fan.

Anyway, after I did that, it went below 1/2 again. It crept up to 1/2 at most. When I traveled to another meeting across town in heavy traffic, it was performing well again. But when I went home in the evening, it went a tad above 1/2 again. I guess I'll really have to work on those fuse pins.
I'd also observe the thermo switches on idle next.

Finally got to work on fuse #3 pin and got it fixed. Checked on the thermo-switch wires and just refitted / tidied wires on it. Now, she's running properly at 1/2 at most sitting in traffic mid-day w/ HVAC on.
