    Installing crank key and sprocket

I have hit a small obstacle with my stroker project. I took off my crank sprocket and key to do a seal. Now that is done, putting this sprocket back on is becoming a bit tricky. The key only goes in so far before popping out and the groove in the crank sprocket for the timing belt seems to push it out. My question is...has anyone else have this issue? if so, how have you tackled this?

Its a pain in the ass but what I've done is put a small dab of motor oil in the groove on the crank and put the key in It. The oil creates a little bit of adhesion for the key and sometimes keeps it in place. If the oil doesn't work, try using something a little stickier like anti seize.

    Good luck
