Common leaks at the back of the m20

My m20 is leaking at the back of the engine. I replaced the valve cover gasket and the shift plugs ( the black plugs on both ends of the head) that fixed one huge issue but now a couple of months later I have a leak at the back of the engine. Checked my oil and there wasn't any coolant in it so I don't think it's a blown head gasket. I'm sure it's a common leak on these engines but I can't find where it is.

rear main seal is one that CAN leak. As far as common, not so much. Really nothing back there is a common leak.

Clean the back of the engine as best you can and see where the oil is coming from. If it is dripping down you are leaking out of either the rocker plugs, VC, or maybe a bit from the HG. If it's coming out of the trans bell housing your rear main is shot.

You know what it may be the rear main cause the drip forms where the bell housing connects to the transmission

make sure your oil pan bolts are tight. mine were lose causing a leak which looked like a rear main seal
