FPR replaced and now won't start....

Just replaced the FPR (starting to go out) and now with the brand new bosch unit in place the car won't start. Did I miss something about priming the fuel system after taking the old one off.

The fuel system is a flow through design, so after a few turns of the engine it will be purged of air. No priming needed. The first actions at this point should a a check for spark when cranking and a check of rail fuel pressure.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Found it. Turned out to be the coil. Checked it with a multimeter and found it was dead.

So I am completely stumped. New coil, new FPR, and still wont start. All has been hooked back up and still nothing. All the engine does is crank over. Need help, anything will do now.

Assuming you are now getting both spark and fuel, check your Crank Position Sensor or it's wiring. Also test your alternator just to be sure it's ok.

So yeah after checking everything and getting to the crankshaft sensor I found it had sagged enough to have been in contact with the alternator belt and wore through the wire. New one on order and hopefully all will be fixed.
